Adding your home and/or work address in Google Maps is simpler than you might expect.
Select the Menu option in the top-left corner of the screen. From the pull-down menu, select Your Places. In the Your Places menu, select the Labeled tab. In the Labeled tab, select the Home option for your home address or the Work option for your work address. Enter the address you want Google Maps to associate with your home or work. Google Maps will generate a list of valid addresses using the information you’ve entered. Select your matching address, then select Save. To check your address information, select Menu > Your Places > Labeled from the main Google Maps screen. This will display the created entries for both your Home and Work addresses. To set a map marker and zoom to your address, click on either the Home or Work entry in the Your Places menu.

If you need to change your Home or Work address in Google Maps after saving, it’s also a very simple process.

Select the X icon next to either your Home or Work address, depending on the one you want to change. This will remove the stored address. Once the address is removed, select either the Home option for your home address or the Work option for your work address, depending on the one you’re changing. Enter the address you want Google Maps to associate with your home or work. Google Maps will generate a list of valid addresses using the information you’ve entered. Select your matching address, then select Save.

Adding or altering your address in Google Maps via your Android or iOS device is very similar to the web browser process.
Open the Google Maps app. Tap on the Saved icon in the bottom-middle of the screen, which will bring up the Your Lists menu. Tap on Labeled to pull up the menu. Tap the three line menu to the right of the entry and then tap Edit home or Edit work. Type in or copy/paste the address you want to use and then tap Done.
